China’s Communist Party concluded a weeklong party conference by announcing the slate of leaders that will run the party over the next five years, including two possible successors to party secretary Hu Jintao.
Hu singled out Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang, who now stand ready to become secretary and prime minister, respectively, when Hu and the current prime minister, Wen Jiabao, step aside in 2012.
