Terrorism and U.S. Politics


The Washington Post reports on rifts in the U.S. Democratic Party over terrorism policy. The article says some Democratic lawmakers are increasingly frustrated that they have been unable to deter some of President Bush’s more controversial tactics in the “war on terror.”

Slate has a “roundtable” feature in which four experts try to discern what might be involved in the U.S. National Security Agency’s “superclassified” wiretapping program.
