United States presidential election, 2008: Hillary Clinton War Questions

Hillary Clinton appeared on all five Sunday morning talk shows, touting her health care plan and discussing Iraq.

On Meet the Press, Hillary Clinton defended her vote for the war, saying she did not realize at the time “what the president would do with the authority that was given him,” and told Tim Russert she will not vote to fund the war in Iraq again.

On CNN’s Late Edition, Hillary Clinton criticized Columbia University for inviting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to visit campus.

On ABC’s This Week, she refused to pledge to withdraw all troops from Iraq during her first term in the presidency. “I’m not going to get into hypotheticals and make pledges because I don’t know what I’m going to inherit,” she said.
