Eritrea’s Regional Role and Foreign Policy


A new paper from Chatham House, a British think tank, looks at Eritrea’s role in the Horn of Africa and why it has become diplomatically isolated. Poor diplomacy from other international actors and a sense of double standards by the international community with regard to Eritrea’s border dispute with Ethiopia have also created mistrust and resentment.
